MEET THE TEAM
I have been involved in Dance my entire professional career. Having the opportunity to create Nova Arts has been a dream for many years. Seeing a gap in high standard college training in South Yorkshire i created the college with the goal of providing excellent training for young dancers, that best prepares them for higher education or professional placements.
It is a privilege to be able to welcome you to Nova Arts.
My dance journey started at the age of 16. I have been teaching in the industry across multiple platforms for the past 12 years, teaching several styles of dance - my most prominent styles being Breaking, Popping, House & HipHop.
I recently graduated with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Physical Education and School Sports and currently choreograph performances for many teams that compete throughout the UK.
I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge with the students at NovaArts College and facilitate their learning by offering complex and intricate choreography, I cannot wait to get started. See you soon Nova!

I am a young and energetic dance teacher who has successfully improved many students’ knowledge and understanding of dance. Dance has shaped my life and has given me countless invaluable experiences. I aim to share my respect and love for the art form with the next generation of dancers.
After training to be a professional dancer and achieving recognised teaching qualifications with the IDTA, I moved to Leeds to study contemporary dance. After performing and graduating in Leeds, I moved home to Barnsley at 20 years old to establish Emma Ledger Dance. I have taught at colleges, events and dance studios across Yorkshire, including The Betty Chappelle Dance Centre, Barnsley College and Dancing Town.
I am very excited to begin my journey as part of the teaching team at Nova Arts.
I trained at the University of Central Lancashire and gained a BA Hons in Dance Performance and Teaching. Alongside my degree, I taught after-school clubs and was part of a performance group that performed at charity events, hair shows, and various clubs.
I have taught across multiple platforms over the past 9 years and had dancers gain 1st place in regional and national Freestyle competitions. I have also gained my PGCSE in lifelong learning specialising in dance and have gained experience teaching BTEC L3 Dance and Musical Theatre. I am extremely pleased to join the Nova Arts team and can’t wait to get started.

Ian Started dancing at the age of 7 in multiple styles. Went to dance college at 16 to further his training in basic technique of Jazz, Ballet, Tap and Contemporary. At 17 started traveling internationally to learn and grow more in Hip Hop and Street Dance. Found a love for teaching along his travels and has been able to make this a huge part of his career. Ian’s dance style is a combination of what he has learned over his years of training but mainly contemporary and hip hop.
